Frequently Asked Questions
What does Cedar Sauna Cloud include with a mobile sauna rental?
A typical Cedar Sauna Cloud booking in Iowa City includes delivery, setup, and pickup of the mobile sauna plus any equipment needed to run it during your event. Depending on the package you choose, that can also include an attendant, towels, cold plunge or contrast setup, wellness event coordination, and instructions for guests. Confirm the exact inclusions when you request your quote — packages vary.
How much does it cost to rent a mobile sauna in Iowa City?
Iowa City-area mobile sauna rentals generally range from a few hundred dollars for a short pop-up session to well over a thousand for full-day or multi-vehicle event coverage. Pricing depends on duration, group size, distance from the vendor's home base, and add-ons like cold plunge or contrast therapy. Cedar Sauna Cloud will send an itemized quote once they know your event details.
What kind of space do I need?
Most mobile setups need a level area roughly the size of a driveway or small backyard patch — typically 10 by 20 feet or larger — with room for the trailer or unit to be positioned. Electrical needs vary: some units run on a standard outlet, others need a generator or dedicated 240V. Cedar Sauna Cloud will confirm space, power, and access requirements when they scope your Iowa City location.
How many people can use it at once?
Cedar Sauna Cloud accommodates roughly 4–8 people at a time. For larger events, some vendors bring multiple units or run rotations so more guests can experience the mobile sauna across the event. Ask about group capacity and rotation timing when you request a quote.
How far in advance should I book?
For events in Iowa City and Iowa, weekends and summer months book out fastest — 4 to 8 weeks ahead is a safe target for peak season. Weekday and off-season bookings can often be arranged with less notice. Request a quote from Cedar Sauna Cloud as early as you have a date and location.
What kinds of events does Cedar Sauna Cloud do?
Mobile saunas and cold plunges show up at all kinds of events — weddings, corporate wellness days, birthday parties, retreats, athlete recovery sessions, brand activations, and private backyard gatherings. If you're planning something in the Iowa City metro area, Cedar Sauna Cloud can tell you whether it's a good fit and what they recommend for your group size and goals.

Bywater Sauna runs Minnesota-built barrel saunas that travel between Seattle beaches — Alki, Golden Gardens, Lincoln Park, and Leschi Marina — pairing wood-fired heat with direct access to Puget Sound cold plunges. Founder Nate Garberich started Bywater out of the Coldwater Collective community, and the barrel format holds 16 people comfortably so groups get a social sauna experience rather than a cramped one. Twin wood fires keep one end scorching for sauna veterans while the door end runs milder for newcomers. Drop-in sessions run $35-40 per person and memberships are available.
