Pick the format

  • Weekend drop-off. The sauna sits at your rental for the whole stay, so the group can use it whenever they like. Weekend rentals among vendors we list run $340–$1,300.
  • Hosted session. Staff bring the sauna for a few hours, run the fire, and guide the group through rounds. Short sessions run $100–$650, and fully hosted private events sit at the top of that range.
  • Add a cold plunge. Most groups want hot and cold. As an add-on, a plunge typically costs $30–$150.

If you’re staying at an Airbnb or rental house

Get the host’s permission in writing before you book the sauna. Many listings don’t allow outside equipment or open flames, and the vendor will need to drive a truck and trailer onto the property. Send the host the vendor’s details and ask about parking, where the trailer can sit, and whether a garden hose is available for the plunge.

Tell the vendor the address and any gates, slopes, or tight driveways when you request a quote. Some vendors also deliver to campsites, cabins, and lake houses.

Keep it fun and safe

The best time is usually the morning or early afternoon after the big night, or as a pre-dinner reset. Heat and alcohol don’t mix well, so plan the sauna before drinks rather than after, keep water handy, and don’t let anyone use the sauna or plunge alone. Most vendors require a signed waiver and a minimum age (often 18 or 21).

A sample afternoon

  1. 1:00Vendor arrives, sets up, and lights the stove (about 45–60 minutes to heat).
  2. 2:00First round: 10–15 minutes in the sauna, a quick plunge, then rest.
  3. 2:30–4:00Two or three more rounds, swapping groups so everyone gets a turn.
  4. 4:30Vendor packs up (hosted), or the sauna stays for the evening (drop-off).

Questions to ask vendors

  1. How many people fit at once, and can you bring a second plunge tub?
  2. Can you deliver to our rental, and what do you need from the host?
  3. Is it drop-off or hosted, and what’s the price difference?
  4. What’s your minimum age, and does everyone sign a waiver?
  5. What happens if the weather is bad?

Frequently asked questions

How much does a sauna cost for a bachelorette party?+

Among vendors we list, a short hosted session runs $100–$650 and a weekend rental runs $340–$1,300. A cold plunge adds about $30–$150. Delivery beyond the vendor’s free radius and tax are extra.

Can we have a mobile sauna at our Airbnb?+

Often, with the host’s written permission. The vendor needs space for the trailer, access for a truck, and clearance from structures for a wood-fired stove. Ask the host before you book the sauna.

How many people can use it?+

Most mobile saunas seat 4 to 8 at a time and larger trailers seat 10 to 14. Groups rotate through 10–15 minute rounds, so a bigger party just takes turns.

Is it OK to use a sauna after drinking?+

It’s not a good idea. Heat and alcohol both dehydrate you and affect blood pressure. Schedule the sauna before drinks, drink plenty of water, and keep an eye on each other.
